We are currently recruiting and have open spaces for you to join! Whittlesey Concert Band welcomes new players of all ages who would like to join a friendly and dedicated group of wind musicians. The band would particularly like to recruit oboe, 2nd French horn, 2nd cornet/trumpet, trombone bass clef, tuba base clef, double bass and 2nd percussion players although other instrumentalists may also be welcomed.
Weekly rehearsals are treated as a time for relaxation and socialising as well as focused work in order to achieve a good standard of performance. Members are expected to attend all required rehearsals where possible. Rehearsals are held on Thursday evenings from 7.45 – 9.15 pm at the Methodist / United Reformed Church, Whitttlesey and all members pay £10 per month via Standing Order to cover rent, insurance and the cost of new music. There is a large free car park 1 minute walk from the venue.
